Investments in climate science provide us research and analyses to increase our understanding of the anticipated risks of climate change to our geography and resources, as well as of our current state. Climate science tools allow us to explore options for how our actions can impact particular values on our landscape, as well as how we may increase our resiliency today and into the future. We are fortunate in Cascadia to have a large body of science to inform our work, as well as scientific communities that collaborate to address the information needs of managers and natural resource practitioners. Below are links to specific tools, information clearinghouses, and scientific communities.
- AdaptWest – A spatial database and synthesis of methods for conservation planning aimed at enhancing resilience and adaptation potential of natural systems under climate change.
