TerrAdapt for Cascadia
TerrAdapt:Cascadia is a dynamic conservation planning tool being co-developed by TerrAdapt.org in collaboration with the Cascadia Partner Forum and other users across our region. TerrAdapt provides an always up-to-date, climate-smart, regional-scale perspective to local decision-making. In Cascadia, TerrAdapt can help guide land and species management decisions ranging from where to conserve land to enhance core habitat, how to prioritize forest restoration to improve connectivity, or where to build highway crossing structures to promote wildlife movement. The Cascadia Partner Forum is also using TerrAdapt to inform an annual ‘State of Cascadia’ assessment, which is helping monitor progress towards our vision for a resilient Cascadia. TerrAdapt:Cascadia currently models habitat and connectivity for 4 major ecosystem types, and species-specific modules are in development for target species including wolverine, Canada lynx, grizzly bear, sage grouse, and fisher.
